Then, it's on to the historic 20-room mansion, where timeless grace beckons. Built in 1907 by J. P. Morgan as a gift to his friend and former minister, Dr. William S. Rainsford, the elegant mansion's brick and stone exterior would be nearly impossible to duplicate today. The warm and welcome entrance leads into a rich atmosphere of rooms paneled in chestnut, cherry and oak. Hand-hewn woodwork, chestnut beams, grand staircases and cozy stone fireplaces all set the scene for an elegant experience in fine dining.
